Welcome to Raising Philips!

Hi! I'm Jillian (and thank goodness for that because my mom wanted my name to be Joy and I promise you I am not always a joy to be around! God bless all the Joys out there who actually fit their name). I'm in love with Derek Philips and a mama to three sweet, ornery, huggable boys Ryne, Reed and Rhett! I love Christmas, the Chicago Cubs, iced tea, and decorating my 1930s home. I'm a terrible cook, but give me a Ree Drummond recipe and I'm all over it! (Seriously, is this lady not everyone's girl crush? Who else can make such great meals and give you the simplest directions so that even the worst cook can still bust it out for their family like they're a sous chef?! Amirite?!)  I have a bachelors degree in accounting and finance but decided to ditch that at age 27 to be a stay-at-home-mom. I'd like to say that makes me the boss, but who am I kidding? I have three little boss men who I love! My hubby is a head elementary principal and I guess that makes him my sugar daddy since he foots our grocery bill weekly! (and let me tell you..that grocery bill can be expensive with so many boys in the house!) Our life is wild, but it's our life and it's full of love!
